On May 18, 2025, the Church of Ingria took part in X Interreligious Sports Competitions in St. Petersburg: sports for friendship and mutual understanding.

This unique event joins the representatives of eight religions and confessions:

• the Religious Board of Muslims of St. Petersburg and the North-West Region of Russia,

• the Armenian Apostolic Church in the North-West Region of Russia,

• the Roman Catholic Church Archidiocese in Moscow,

• the Jewish Religious Community in St. Petersburg,

• the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ingria,

• the Buddhist Datsan Gunzechoinei,

• the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Russia,

• the Russian Orthodox Church (St. Petersburg Eparchy).

The sports contests included arena football, ping pong, chess, and the physical training standard. Out team won two cups – chess and the physical training standard!

The tradition of such sports competitions contribute to interreligious dialogue and peace.
