On October 13, 2022, a team of workers from the Consulate General of Finland, St. Petersburg, led by Consul General Sannamaaria Vanamo visited St. Nicholas’ Lutheran Church in Gatchina, Leningrad Oblast, during a tour of the city. Ms. Consul General was interested to hear the history of the congregation told by its senior pastor Rev. Viktor Vorontsov. The conversation continued over a cup of coffee as Ms. Vanamo shared about the consulate’s activities in the region. The conversation was joined by Rev. Leonard Kazakov, senior pastor of the Lutheran Church in Volosovo. In conclusion, everyone sang the hymn “Jeesuksesta laulan” (“I Sing about Jesus”) together and then Ms. Vanamo and Rev.
