For many years, our church body has been serving elderly people through its community social-diaconal service centers. It has opened 4 such centers in Leningrad Oblast, namely, in Koltushi, Taytsy, Tervolovo, and Kikerino. The time has come to open another one, which will be located not far from Tyrö Lutheran Church in Lomonosov, St. Petersburg urban area. From now on, all the centers will be united in one network, which will enable us to upgrade this ministry and develop this area of diaconia in other regions. On January 28, 2022, the ELCIR Synodal Council appointed Senior Pastor Aleksandr Khlynov of Tyrö Lutheran Church supervisor of this project.
