The 12th Corpus Christi International Conference took place from July 30 through August 1, 2021. The local conference in Russia was held at the ELCIR Theological Institute and attended by clerics and lay church members from St. Petersburg (St. Anne’s Church); Gurez-Pudga, Udmurtia; Koltushi, Leningrad Oblast; Petrozavodsk, Karelia; Saransk, Mordovia (Velmema Church); Tyrö Parish, Leningrad Oblast; Cheboksary, Chuvashia; and the USA.
During the virtual conference, Rev. John Kleinig from Australia presented a lecture on the topic “Holiness and Sanctification.” Discussion groups touched on such topics as “The Church and the Pandemic,” “How do You Survive in the Secular World?” “Radical Christianity vs. Minimalistic Christianity,” “For Girls Only.” Bishop Laptev held a Bible study on the difference between justification and sanctification.
Corpus Christi is an independent Evangelical Lutheran association promoting churchly and biblical renewal among young adults in Europe.
We’re praying about a full-scale international conference in St. Petersburg in 2022-2023. Working language: English.
