On May 3, 2021, Moscow’s Sokolniki Arena of FC Spartak hosted an annual inter-faith soccer tournament as part of The Dialog of Religions event series, an initiative of the Russian Union of Christians of Evangelical Faith, sponsored by the Ethnic Policy and Interregional Relations Department of Moscow’s government. The soccer tournament of teams representing different religious faiths has become a traditional and anticipated event in Russia’s capital. The coronavirus pandemic put mass activities on hold for a whole year, however as the situation gets better and restrictions relax, customary sports tournaments gradually resume, including those of The Dialog of Religions series.
