Since August 28, 2020, Vårsol/Vesenneye solntse Social Village in Taytsy, Leningrad Oblast, has been holding children’s Christian retreat The Sea Journey. On the first day, the children went on a journey with Noah. They learned how long his ark was, how many animals were aboard, and how long the flood lasted. The day included outdoor games, Bible studies for preschool and school-age children/teenagers, the making of bandannas, and master classes in drawing/painting.
Vårsol is a social village built on the funds of Norwegian charity Hjelp til Russland in 2009 for families with own and adopted children. It has a chapel and guest rooms.Source: Vårsol Facebook Page
