On September 28, 2025, Kondopoga congregation (Karelia) celebrated its 35th anniversary. The celebration was visited by pastors Anttero Rasilainen and Petteri Mannermaa from Finland, for whom thousands of kilometers of road were no obstacle. The ministers provided invaluable moral and prayer support to those who work tirelessly in the church. The problem is that the congregation has been without its own pastor for several years.
After the worship service, music and poetry sounded in the church walls. The believers remembered by name the older generation, through whose efforts the Lutherans obtained their official state registration and recognition in the Kondopoga district.
Despite the difficulties, the parishioners look forward with hope, relying faithfully on God’s inexhaustible love. “But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint” (Isaiah 40:31).
