In the last several months, pastor Evgeny Raskatov (Annenkirche, St. Petersburg) has given lections in many Russian cities and towns. The lecture «On God to an atheist» has become really popular.

This speech is based on the introduction to the confirmation course. Pastor Evgeny tells about the foundations of Christian faith, how to reconcile religion and science, and what it means to be a Christian today.

The renowned lecture was presented in St. Petersburg (in Jaani Kirik and even in a bar called «Fogel»), in Moscow (in a conference hall), in Siberian cities Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Ulan-Ude, in Vologda, Voronezh, Kursk churches. On 14 May, 2025, pastor Evgeny was invited to a congregation of the Siberian Evangelical Lutheran Church (SELC) in Ekaterinburg.

There was each time different size of the audience during the lectures. Somewhere just 6 people came (in Krasnoyarsk), somewhere there were about 100 persons present (in Moscow). In Ulan-Ude, the capital of the Buddhist Republic of Buryatiya, about 50 people came. And in Nizhny Novgorod there were 80 hearers – the biggest audience in their church ever.
