On August 2, 2024, an organ was played for the first time in many years at Jakkima Church in Lahdenpohja, Karelia. In collaboration with the town’s administration and local donors, the ELCIR organized a music program in the City of Angels, an open-air exhibit of wooden angel sculptures.Cordial thanks to Yelena Maleva for the excellent performance of organ pieces, to the Lutheran Church of Yukki for providing the organ, to the Lutheran Church of Gubanitsy for the vehicle, and to Mrs. Oksana Zhestkova, head of the Lahdenpohja Municipal District Administration, for the invitation and the warm welcome!
