The Creation Exhibition produced by St. Anne’s Lutheran Church (Annenkirche) and Zerno Art Group from St. Petersburg opened in Kaliningrad on July 27, 2024. It is located on the premises of the former Ponarth Factory. Fallen into disuse, the factory’s space now houses a presentation of the biblical story of creation expressed through modern art. Today, the factory’s huge and shadowy machine shops are inhabited by mockup earth and moon and the alluring garlands of hundreds of forbidden fruit. A special jewel of the exhibition is paintings, sculptures and other art objects made by artists from around the world and selected after an open call. A unique exhibit is the huge model of a dinosaur’s skeleton which St. Anne’s Pastor Yevgeni Raskatov brought from China!
Many thanks to everyone who was involved in creating this exhibition! Our special acknowledgements to its general partner, the volunteer movement “The Keepers of the Ruins”!
