On June 22, 2024, Day of Remembrance and Sorrow in Russia which marks the beginning of the Great Patriotic War in the Soviet Union in 1941, ELCIR deacon Aleksei Lozhkin participated in the ceremony of laying flowers at Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery in St. Petersburg.
