On June 3, 2024, St. Petersburg’s Mayakosvky Library hosted the 2nd Public Space Development Forum called “Place and People.” Senior Pastor Yevgeni Raskatov of St. Anne’s Lutheran Church participated in the public talk.
The experts discussed the importance of public space for urban development and tourism, the life cycle of a public space, the history of its becoming “the third place” (which is sometimes better appreciated and found more comfortable than one’s home), and social marketing as the main tool for interacting with society and building a culture.
The forum had the support of the St. Petersburg government’s Culture Committee and Leningrad Oblast’s Cultural Heritage Preservation Committee.
