On May 15, 2024, the International Day of Families proclaimed by the UN General Assembly, Nevskaya Ratusha Business Center in St. Petersburg hosted a forum entitled “Developing the Institute of Traditional Family. St. Petersburg’s Experience.” The event’s goal was to share experiences and to further cooperation of religious organizations with government authorities in upholding traditional family.Two presentations came from the ELCIR:
– “The Christian Concept of Marriage and Assistance in Family Crises” by Bishop Laptev
– “The Experience of Anna Pomogayet Nonprofit Organization in Solving Crises and in Adapting Orphanage Alumni for Independent Living” by Oleg Belezhenko, director of Anna Pomogayet Nonprofit.
