On February 26, 2024, Murmansk Arctic University hosted the first meeting of ministers from The Russian Orthodox Church and The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ingria in Russia with the university’s students. The meeting is part of the ongoing collaboration of traditional religions in Russia.The ELCIR was represented by Pastor Aleksandr Volchok of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Murmansk. Rev. Volchok: “It’s valuable when today’s young people show interest in matters of religion. I was happy to hear the professors, in particular, Yulia Bardileva, Cand. Sc. (History), who stays open-minded when talking about church history.”
