On March 1, 2024, ELCIR Bishop Ivan Laptev installed Rev. Aleksandr Dyshenov as the new senior pastor of Grace of Christ Lutheran Church in Ulan-Ude, Buryatia.Bishop Laptev said a homily based on 1 Tim. 6:10-12. During the blessing ceremony, he was assisted by the church’s former senior pastor Rev. Nikiforov and Deacon Urmayev. Church members, family, friends and brothers and sisters in Christ from other local churches gathered at Grace of Christ to pray for the new senior pastor and rejoice together in the moment of great spiritual significance for the congregation.
