On March 1, 2024, ELCIR member Darya Shkurlyatyeva participated in an international researchers’ conference entitled “Medieval Liturgical Monody and Its Historical Perspectives.” Darya gave a paper titled “The German Mass of Martin Luther: Interpretation of Medieval Monody in the Liturgical Practice of Modern Russian Lutheran Congregations. Particular Features.” The conference took place at Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow.
Darya Shkurlyatyeva is responsible editor of ELCIR churchwide publications, teacher of the history of Lutheran music at the ELCIR Theological Institute, and an accomplished musician.
