On September 29, 2023, a team from St. Anne’s Lutheran Church of St. Petersburg, a.k.a. Annenkirche, including the church’s pastor Rev. Raskatov visited the St. Petersburg Theological Academy of The Russian Orthodox Church.The hosts took the guests on a tour of church buildings and a church archeology museum, told them about the history of theological schools, and shared about the lives of some of the outstanding persons related to the academy.
The tour was followed by tea & snacks with Orthodox seminarians sharing about church traditions, the school’s curricula and daily life, the Christian vocation and choices, personal stories of coming to faith and understanding one’s place in the Christian congregation. The Lutherans were happy to share with their Orthodox brothers about Lutheran worship, congregational life and other things. Praise God for the good informative experience for both sides of the dialog!
