From September 18-21, 2023, Cheboksary, Chuvashia, hosted the 2nd Christian youth forum on the topic “Christian Young People in Social Ministry.” The event was sponsored by the Christian Interconfessional Advisory Committee. The forum’s goals were to strengthen the relations of young people from different Christian denominations based on their shared religious values, promote interethnic peace and harmony, and share best practices in the area of social ministry.Rev. Konstantin Subbotin, rector of the ELCIR Theological Institute, addressed the participants on behalf of the ELCIR. The other Church of Ingria participants were Rev. Artur Semyonov from Kazan, catechist Mikhail and Varvara Shestakov from St. Anne’s Lutheran, St. Petersburg, and Ksenia Grigoryeva from Cheboksary.
