It was a truly joyful Sunday for The Church of Ingria on September 3, 2023, as masters of theology Jarkko Haapanen, Veli-Matti Kujala, Matti Rusama, Santeri Marjokorpi and doctor of theology Hiroaki Yoshimura were ordained into the Office of Pastor at St. Mary’s Lutheran Cathedral of St. Petersburg. Some of them were in the diaconal ministry for several years prior to their pastoral ordination. Dr. Yoshimura will serve the ELCIR Theological Institute (TICI) in Koltushi, Leningrad Oblast.May the power of the Holy Spirit and abundant fruit for God’s Kingdom manifest themselves in their ministries!
