On Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 1 pm Moscow time, St. Mary’s Lutheran Cathedral located at 8 Bolshaya Konyushennaya Street, St. Petersburg will hold a gala celebration of the 70th birth anniversary of Bishop Emeritus Arri Kugappi! Everybody is welcome!The celebration will be webcast live via St. Mary’s YouTube channel.
All guests will receive a gift copy of the new issue of The Church of Ingria magazine. This issue has a sermon of Bishop Emeritus Arri Kugappi, the reminiscences of Marina Väisä, head of the ELCIR Church Music Committee, and Nina Savolainen, ELCIR Headquarters secretary, about how they worked together with Bishop Arri, “clippings” from the 1993-2018 magazine issues talking about the Church of Ingria 30, 25, 20, 15, 10 and 5 years ago, and many other things. You can take the autograph of Arri Kugappi who was the magazine’s editor-in-chief for many years.
