On November 21, 2022, Pastor Vitali Luchagov, the new dean of the ELCIR Northern Deanery, visited the religious group in Kandalaksha, Murmansk Oblast, and preached a sermon during the worship service. The celebrant was Rev. Aleksandr Volchok, senior pastor of the Lutheran Church in Murmansk.

 

On the next day, the clergymen discussed current matters and agreed that the pastors Volchok and Luchagov would take turns celebrating a worship service in Kandalaksha once a month. Kandalaksha is a small town in SW Murmansk Oblast. The Lutherans who live there have been meeting for spiritual meetings for many years.
