The worship service with the installation ceremony took place at Sts. Peter and Paul Lutheran Cathedral of the ELCR (a.k.a. Petrikirche) in St. Petersburg. After the worship service, Bishop Ivan Laptev of The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ingria in Russia (ELCIR) congratulated Archbishop Provorov and Bishop Djamgarov on their call to this demanding and blessed ministry and wished them strength, patience, and wisdom!
“Shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.” (1 Pet. 5:2-4)
