On October 11, 2022, church member Tatiana Ryumina, curator of St. Michael’s Lutheran church museum in St. Petersburg, gave an interview to journalist Andrei Radin, chairman of the St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast Union of Journalists. The interview was about architect Pavel (Paul) Alisch (1842 – after 1917), a Russia German who was a member of St. Michael’s church. Alisch is talked about in the documentary film Estonskiy Peterburg (“Estonian St. Petersburg”) as most of the buildings constructed by Alisch are extant in Estonia where he is reputed as one of the best 19th-century architects representative of the Neo-Byzantine and “Brickwork” Styles. St. Petersburg where Alisch lived has some of his works also.
For St. Michael’s church museum this was its first professional interview while for the visiting journalists it was also a time travel as church organist Galina Yelshayeva played an antique organ.
