Since August 15, 2022, the ELCIR Theological Institute in Koltushi, Leningrad Oblast, has been teaching a course for church cantors. The twenty-three congregational musicians in attendance come from five of the ELCIR deaneries: Karelian, Siberian, St. Petersburg, Uralic, and West Ingrian.The program of the first teaching period includes the following classes: organ, voice, choir conducting, church history, church music history, hymnology, and liturgics.
