From July 22-24, 2022, the Lutheran Church of Petrozavodsk, Karelia, hosted the New Testament module of the Church of Ingria’s Initial Theological Course. The classes were taught by Rev. Mikhail Ivanov, senior pastor of St. Mary’s Lutheran Cathedral in St. Petersburg. He shared with students from Karelia and Tver about the historical context of the NT books, details of their writers’ biographies, nuance of the NT original language and answered their questions about the Christian faith and ecumenical dialog. Pastor Mikhail is the author of several books on some of the NT epistles. Many thanks to Rev. Ivanov for his engaging teaching!
