Last weekend, fifteen families from the ELCIR St. Petersburg Deanery went camping on the shore of Lake Salmenjärvi in Suoyarvsky District of Karelia. For many of the participants it was their first time they had joined the annual family camping with church people from the deanery.Everyone had a great time living in the tents, cooking food on fire, boating, fishing, and singing to the guitar. The kids played a quest game. In the evening, the adults discussed the biblical understanding of faithfulness. As some of the families were not religiously committed, there were different opinions expressed and the discussions were very active and interesting.
