From June 17-21, 2022, Senior Pastor Andrei Antonov and members of the Lutheran Church of Sortavala, Karelia, Russia, visited their sister church in Virrat, Finland. A special focus of this trip was our compatriots who live in Virrat. Thanks to the active efforts of Timo Wenell, a friend of the Ingrian congregation, the divine service was celebrated in the Russian language for the first time in the town’s history. During the service, Konstantin who has been living in Finland for a long time was received into full fellowship with the Church through the Rite of Confirmation.
