St. Mary’s Lutheran Cathedral and St. Anne’s Lutheran Church in St. Petersburg and Skvoritsy Lutheran Church in Leningrad Oblast celebrated watchnight worship services. 

The Sacrament of Holy Baptism was administered at St. Mary St. Petersburg, Koltushi, and Pskov. The Rite of Confirmation was held at 10 congregations: Chalna, Irkutsk, Kem, Koltushi, Kursk, Murmansk, Petrozavodsk, Segezha, St. Mary St. Petersburg, and Yukki.

The worship services in the Russian North deserve special mention. Pastor Andrei Tuhkanen who currently lives in Finland and Deacon Vyacheslav Shadrin who came hitchhiking from Novosibirsk (!) visited Borovoi, Kalevala, Kandalaksha, Kostomuksha, Muyezerski, Tiksha, and Yushkozero. Thanks be to God for the ministers’ warm hearts!

Some of our churches were visited by organizations. Koltushi Church hosted a book fair of Visson Christian Publishing House.
