“From the Ashes” is the name of an exhibition that opened at St. Mary’s Lutheran Cathedral in St. Petersburg on February 26, 2022. The exhibition tells the history of the restoration of Lutheran churches in St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast. ELCIR Bishop Ivan Laptev spoke a word of introduction and Pastor Mikhail Ivanov, senior pastor of St. Mary, offered a prayer. Vladimir Ivanov, chief of the Department for Relations with Religious Associations, extended greetings on behalf of the St. Petersburg government. Pastor Antero Rasilainen exhorted to remember that the main temple where the Lord wants to be is man’s heart!
