The ELCIR Children & Youth Department taught a training seminar for children’s workers at Vesenneye Solntse / Vårsol Social Village in Taytsy, Leningrad Oblast, from January 28-30, 2022. The course gathered 22 participants from seven ELCIR deaneries who included experienced teachers as well as teenagers who are just starting to assist in children’s ministry. The course included basic pedagogy, a brainstorm in writing summer programs for children, and such topics as “What do We Teach in Sunday School? The Catechism, Law and Gospel,” “Using Visual Aids,” and “How do We Tell Bible Stories?” Distance students could join the classes through a live stream.Youth training in Taytsy
