Kolibri assists disabled children and adults. Marina herself has a child with special needs. Kolibri meetings enable children with different health issues and physical abilities to get together, socialize, and have an enjoyable time together. Currently, Kolibri, which started work 6 years ago, reaches out to 46 families and collaborates with church members and other nonprofits in its assistance efforts. Twice a week, children and adults can attend painting, handiwork and choreography classes. During the school breaks, Kolibri organizes camps. The families discuss such topics as encouragement, care, miracles, and acceptance of the world and our neighbors in their diversity. The children sing Christian hymns together in the Lutheran church. Kolibri activities involve believing and unbelieving families, however this doesn’t hinder them from being together.
