From August 26-27, 2021, the Lutheran Congregation of Kondopoga, Karelia, held an educational program for schoolchildren called “Ascend the Mountain!” During two days, the kids were on a “trip to the mountains,” learning about biblical events that took place on a mountain. They learned about Mount Ararat, visited Mount Sinai, Calvary, the Mount of the Beatitudes, and elevations without a name.In addition to the educational lessons, the children sang a lot, made straw baskets, and to sum up the two days’ program they produced two wall newspapers.
