Lutheran Students Visit Eastern Orthodox Cathedral
On August 14, 2021, students of the Basics of Christian Faith course from St. Anne’s Lutheran Church of St. Petersburg took an excursion to Feodorovsky Cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church. Protopriest Aleksandr Sorokin, the cathedral dean, shared about the church’s history from the early 20th century to the times there was a milk factory in the church in the Soviet period to its restoration in our day. The church boasts neo-Russian architecture, Byzantine-style frescoes, and carved ornaments with fairytale animals and floral motifs.
