The summer festival of the Evangelical Lutheran Mission Diocese of Finland at Loimaa Evangelical College culminated in the consecration of a new bishop of this conservative Finnish Lutheran church body.On August 1, 2021, Bishop Risto Soramies assisted by bishops from other countries consecrated Rev. Dr. Juhana Pohjola, 49, a doctor of theology, as Bishop.
Attending the celebration was Rev. Dean Ville Melanen representing The ELCIR. ELCIR Bishop Ivan Laptev sent a letter of congratulations to Bishop Juhana Pohjola.
