Brothers in Christ from Finland joined in online with words of greeting and encouragement. Bishop Laptev joined in holding a Bible study in a Zoom meeting, sharing about the unifying thread of salvation in the Scriptures demonstrated in such events as the exodus of God’s people, the seizure of Jericho, etc.
Crafts stations outdoors next to the church were a lot of fun! Each team tried their hand at joinery, pottery, camping, cooking, first aid and CPR. Yaroslav Gribkov from Tver presented a lecture on the topic “The History of Christianity in 45 Minutes.” Very much appreciated was a walking excursion to the historical spots of Rzhev. Pastor Valeri and Natalia Antipov shared about the “unifying thread of a Christian family.” Irina Sorokina held a quiz.
In the evening, the participants showed skits directed by Natalia Antipova. Following that, there was an Open Microphone session and a campfire with a dessert.
On Saturday, ELCIR Theological Institute student Aleksandr Khmelevtsev held a Bible study. After that, the group took an excursion to the church property in Poyavilovo and the Soviet Soldier war memorial in Rzhev.
A special thank you to Irina Sorokina for her biblical parables quest and Tatiana Novak for her participation also as a medic! Many thanks to Irina Sorokina, Yaroslav Gribkov, and Natalia Kon for minding the children.
On Sunday, St. Luke’s Senior Pastor Valeri Antipov celebrated a divine service.
Thanks be to the Lord for the spiritual fellowship, the good mood, the good weather, and for all things! Glory to Him forever!
