The Lutheran Church of Nizhny Novgorod held an evangelism English camp for children aged 10-14 from July 6-8, 2021. The total attendance was 30 children from the parish and guests and 20 adults. Thanks be to God that by His mercy it turned out a real holiday for children and adults!
The program was prepared and conducted by ELCIR Uralic Region Dean Rev. Konstantin Subbotin and his wife Olga (Cheboksary, Chuvashia); Rev. Leif Camp (St. Petersburg); the Lawson family from the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, namely, Pastor Jerry, his wife Patty, and their children Juliette, Cosette, and Aleksander; and Nizhny Novgorod volunteers Denis Tikhomirov, Olga Lebedeva, Ksenia Turenko, Lora Paramonova, the Boichenko family (Pastor Yaroslav, Larisa, and Ilya), Svetlana Mazanova, Diana Davydova, Anna Mayorova, Anna Koregina, and Tatiana Galkina. The children heard the Gospel, the story of David and Goliath, the parable of the Good Samaritan, and learned Christian songs and prayers in English.
Those were really happy, warm, sunny, joyful and exciting days! The kids learned English while playing. Everyone enjoyed running, playing, and having fun! On behalf of all of the children and adults, we’d like to thank Pastor Konstantin Subbotin and his wife Olga, Pastor Leif Camp, the Lawson family and all of the volunteers and participants! We trust those joyful days will be remembered as lessons of faith, love, and good!
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thess. 5:16-18).
