On April 27, 2021, Bishop Laptev made a visitation of the Lutheran Congregation of Segezha, Karelia. This year, the congregation celebrates 30 years since it began its ministry. As mission work started in Segezha in 1991, the Lutheran Christians met together in different places such as the auditorium of the local mayor’s office, a college, a kindergarten, and others. The church was officially registered in 1994. Today, the congregation has its own facility and works actively in the field of Christ. Although it was a working day, many church members attended the meeting with the bishop. It included a devotional and a discussion of the current situation in The Church of Ingria. The fellowship continued during a celebration meal that followed. Cordial thanks to the church’s senior pastor and activists for the warm welcome! Bishop Laptev wishes the congregation to prosper and be strong in the faith and prays for the power of the Spirit in its ministry!
