On April 18, 2021, Rev. Konstantin Subbotin, Dean of the ELCIR Uralic Deanery, presented a lecture, “Reformation History. Dedicated to the 500th Anniversary of the Diet of Worms” in the conference hall of Premier Hotel Complex in Zheleznogorsk, Kursk Oblast. The lecture was attended by local residents and guests from Kursk and Shchigry, Kursk Oblast. The lecture was followed by a Q&A session. The winners of a quiz received a gift of Robert Kolb’s book Martin Luther as Prophet, Teacher, and Hero.
Feedback: “It was interesting and very insightful. I was happy to get the book. Two people already want to borrow it to read!”
Maksim Zuyev, a Lutheran from Zheleznogorsk who graduated from the Initial Theological Course a while ago, told the audience about a Lutheran church and a Lutheran cemetery that existed in Kursk in the past.
In the evening after the lecture, Rev. Subbotin celebrated a communion service in Maksim Zuyev’s home.
