The festive Easter worship on Easter Sunday April 4, 2021 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Chalna, Karelia“The entire Old Testament was a preparation of mankind for the redemptive death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ which is also the pledge of our own resurrection on the Last Day.
“Our acknowledgements to the choir of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church of Petrozavodsk and its leader Nikolai Tsypulyov for adorning our worship service with a procession and hymn singing! After the worship, our congregants and guests shared a festive meal. Thanks be to God for each person who was able to come to our church on that day! Christ is risen!”
There was a night worship service on Saturday and a main worship service on Easter Sunday. The night liturgy opened with a cross procession around St. Catherine’s church. After that, the rite of confirmation was administered to Sergei and Irina. Sunday school children concluded the service by singing a hymn. The church’s senior choir sang during the festive Easter service on Sunday.

St. Anne’s Lutheran Church of St. Petersburg celebrated Easter at a night worship service in the desert, morning services in English and Russian, and an evening service in German.
Easter Sunday April 4, 2021 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Moscow
On Easter Sunday April 4, 2021, the Easter worship service at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Saratov was celebrated by the congregation’s pastor and regional dean Rev. Olav Panchu, Deacon Sergei Anikin, and catechist Aleksandr Yerofeyev. Easter greetings came from the regional government’s Ministry for Domestic Policy and Social Relations and were read out loud by Deputy Minister Dmitri Konusov. The worship service was followed by a singing performance of the church’s choir and then everybody gathered in the church’s dining hall for tea and Easter treats.

What is our ministry? Nothing but thanksgiving for the love shown to us. Christ disregarded His majesty and glory and made Himself like a slave, took the place of Barabbas, was taken up to the cross. But the history of life doesn’t stop here. Here, it begins. The Lord rose up from the dead, breaking the bonds of death, and gave heaven to every person!
Nothing can separate us from this goodness. Having been once named son or daughter, we belong to our Father forever.
Remember this, dear friends, no one and nothing can separate us from the love of God. Happy Easter! Christ is risen!

Those hard times are still fresh in our memory. Which made this year’s worship service all the more appreciated, touching, and exciting.
“Sunday school students together with Irina Sorokina prepared presents for the congregation. They also did an Easter skit. Later in the dining hall everyone was treated to delicious hot cross buns and other treats.
We’re so happy that sisters in Christ from Bolshoye Kuzyomkino and Volkovo were able to share the joy with our church members. Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!”
