Since March 15, 2021, the exhibition “From the Ashes: the Experience of Restoring Lutheran Churches within St. Petersburg and in Leningrad Oblast” has been underway at Architects’ House in St. Petersburg. For the first time in modern history, the magnificent Polovtsov Mansion in Bolshaya Morskaya Street is hosting a presentation of 13 Lutheran churches in St. Petersburg and its environs: their historical architectural designs, examples of restoration, and modern development concepts.
Prior to the exhibition opening, there was a scientific-practical conference on the restoration of Lutheran churches as items of cultural heritage. The presenters included ministers of The Church of Ingria, professional architects and historians, and young specialists.
The exhibition will be open till March 29. Admission is free. Opening hours: Mon-Tue 10 am – 6 pm. Address: Bolshaya Morskaya Street 52. Welcome!
