On Saturday, November 28, 2020, St. Mary’s Cathedral of St. Petersburg offers a unique guided tour of the Cathedral’s organ!
The baroque pipe organ built in the 21st century following the 18th-century Gottfried Silbermann tradition has 27 registers and almost 1500 pipes. It is the type of organ J. S. Bach wrote his music for!
Get a chance to hear music pieces while near the organ, touch the instrument, look inside and learn how it’s made!
The tour will be guided by Marina Väisä, the chief organist of St. Mary’s Cathedral, an assistant professor of organ and harpsichord at the St. Petersburg Conservatory.
