On October 9, 2020, the Reverend Sergei Nezhdanov returned to his heavenly home at age 75. Pastor Sergei served the Church of the Transfiguration of Our Lord in Zelenogorsk and the Church of St. John the Baptist in Gubanitsy, Leningrad Oblast, and in the recent years he was the second pastor of the Church of St. Michael in St. Petersburg. Born in a cultured Leningrad family, he was a man of breeding and education and a faithful Christian pastor, conscientious and kind with his fellow-ministers and church members. He placed a special emphasis on classical sacred music in the church. We deeply mourn our loss and condole with the family and friends of the deceased. May the Lord rest the good pastor in peace!
