On September 23, 2020, the Administration of Kemsky Municipal District, Karelia, hosted a meeting of the Consultative Council for the Implementation of Ethnic Policy and the Development of State & Religion Relationship.”
The meeting gathered workers of the district’s educational authorities, mass media, law enforcement, religious and public organizations, employment agency, and office of vital records. The meeting discussed continued activities to preserve and develop local ethnic cultures and plans to conduct awareness conferences and seminars for the prevention of terrorism and extremism.
Among others, the main presenters included Rev. Vladimir Yakushov, the senior pastor of the ELCIR congregation in Kem.
