“A huge thank you to all who came in support of the Agricola Choir concert!!! It was a joyful and exciting experience as we sang on the front steps of our cathedral for the first time ever! 🙂 We sang the riddle song “Abraham, Isaac, Jacob” with historian, ethnographer and Lutheran pastor Pavel Krylov who had arrived from St. Petersburg with his wife and daughter. Rev. Krylov provided an accompaniment on a five-string kantele and was wearing a Väinämöinen cap and so looked very stylish. 🙂 We capitalized on the situation and obtained two more copies of his book Chetyre veka shvedskogo Vyborga (“The Four Centuries of the Swedish Vyborg”). Our church member Svetlana Lebedeva who came to listen to us got to play the role of a photo reporter. Thank you Svetlana from all our heart! We hope you guys enjoy her “field photo report.” Next Saturday, we’re going to have binder clips to keep our music sheets from being blown away by the wind.” 🎶😉
