4:30 pm on Saturdays in August!
By Mikael Agricola Choir in Vyborg
Mikael Agricola Choir in Vyborg starts a new tradition! ⛪️🎶 Every Saturday in August, at 4:30 pm, we’re going to sing on the front porch steps of Sts. Peter and Paul Church at 6 Pionerskaya St., Vyborg, Russia. Or on the chancel steps inside the church if it rains. ⛅️ Our short concert will take around a half-hour. We’re going to perform our best loved songs for you:
🔔 The Procession from The Taiga Mass by pastor and ethnologist Rev. Arvo Survo
🔔 A hymn by Mikael Agricola (1510–1557) whose monument is next to our church
🔔 Riddle song Aapram, Iisak, Jaakoppi, which Finnish needlewomen sang in the past
🔔 A song about the guardian angel as a musical illustration for the painting that came to our church a short time ago
🔔 Jubilate from the Taizé community in France, sung to the accompaniment of hand bells
You are welcome in any weather!
