On May 22, 2020, the Synodal Council of The Church of Ingria passed a decision to register a religious group in Kaliningrad as part of The Church of Ingria. The group is called Ascension Congregation because its members held a general meeting competent to make decisions on affiliation on a date close to May 21 when our Lord’s Ascension was celebrated this year.

The group was registered by the state on June 19, 2020.
