On April 28, 2020, clergymen of the ELCIR Uralic Deanery held an online seminar, “The Experience of the Early Church in the Works of the Apostolic Fathers.” The pastors prepared reports and discussed soteriology, sacramentology, and ecclesiology in the epistles of Polycarp of Smyrna, Ignatius of Antioch, Clement of Rome, the Didache, and other works dating from the early church period. The ministers of the Uralic Deanery continue to hold a regular Skype conference on Tuesdays, discussing news updates, problems, prayer needs, and the Gospel lesson for the coming Sunday. In addition to that, unable to meet physically, the pastors have also decided to conduct theological seminars online.
