Rev. Dean Ivan Hutter of the ELCIR St. Petersburg Deanery attended the meeting of the Council for Interethnic Cooperation under the administration of the Vsevolozhsk Municipal District, Leningrad Oblast, on February 20, 2020. The meeting was hosted by the local branch of the Road of Life Museum. Ms. Svetlana Khotko, deputy administration head for social development, noted the meaningfulness of the place chosen for this meeting as the Road of Life is a testament to the glory of the heroes who won the Great Victory in WWII, an international victory that united people of different ethnicities and religious confessions. The Road of Life was the ice road winter transport route across the frozen Lake Ladoga, which provided the only access to the besieged city of Leningrad from September 1941 to January 1944.
